Two ASCC Module Leaders, A/Professor Susie Nilsson and A/Professor David Haylock, have been awarded the prestigious Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowships.
ARC Future Fellowships are aimed at supporting research of national importantance by giving outstanding researchers incentives to conduct their research in Australia. The Fellowships are targeted at mid-career researchers considered the brightest and best in their fields.
A/Professor David Haylock is awarded the Fellowship for his project ‘Bioreactors for manufacture of human platelets’ hosted by CSIRO. A/Professor Susie Nilsson’s is for her project ‘Mimetics and small chemical compounds for hemopoietic stem cell mobilisation’ also at CSIRO.
A/Professsor David Haylock is the ASCC’s Deputy Stream Leader for
Steam 1 – Bioreactors & Smart Surfaces for Stem Cell Propagation and A/Professor Susie Nilsson is ASCC’s Deputy Leader for
Stream 3 – Pluripotent Stem Cell Differentiation.
